40W RGB COB Video Light with Mini Bowens Mount
I spent the last two weeks putting the 40W RGB COB Video Light through its paces in both studio and field environments. This compact fixture promises a lot of versatility for its size, and I wanted to see if the 3400mAh battery could actually keep up with a full day of content creation.
Performance & Build Quality
The COB construction feels incredibly robust, and the integrated heat dissipation works efficiently to keep the unit cool during extended sessions. Its compact frame doesn't compromise on durability, and the inclusion of a mini Bowens mount makes it surprisingly easy to attach a variety of light modifiers.
Day-to-Day Experience
Using this light is intuitive, with the 0-359° RGB range offering quick access to any color mood I needed for my shots. The setup process is remarkably fast, allowing me to switch between lighting setups in seconds without feeling weighed down by heavy power bricks or complex cabling.
This is the perfect companion for freelance videographers and solo content creators who need professional RGB lighting in a highly portable, battery-powered package.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the 40W RGB COB Video Light is a standout piece of gear that earns its 4.89/5 rating by delivering consistent, high-quality output. If you are looking for a reliable lighting solution at the $199.00 price mark, this is an excellent investment for your kit.
